WATCH: Jez Moxey says goodbye to Wolves
Jez Moxey will officially leave Wolves today after 16 years at the club.
The chief executive departs for a new role at Norwich City – with his existing job split into two at Molineux.
Moxey said it was a 'poignant day' to be leaving – and that he'd loved every minute at Wolves.
"It's a poignant day for me having worked here for 16 years and nearly two months," he told the club's official website.
"I have to say I've loved every single minute of it.
"I have a heavy heart in walking out but I think it's the right time and we've achieved so much – there have been some really great highs and some difficult lows.
"When you say 16 years and two months that does sound like a very long time, but I have to say it has literally flown by and it doesn't feel like I've been here for that long.
"It is very emotional. It's been surreal for quite some time, leading up to the sale, then the sale taking place and new owners doing things in different ways, and me taking the decision to step down has been very difficult.
"I love the area, I love the people and I love this club, it's been such an important part of my life.
"That said, I'm a professional guy, somebody else has got the club and it's time for me to move on to something new and I'm very pleased where I'm going."
