Wolves' Jed Wallace doesn't want Millwall loan to end

Wolves midfielder Jed Wallace scored his first Millwall goal at the weekend and declared: I don't want this loan to end.

The 21-year-old is enjoying a productive loan spell with the League One club.

He has made 13 appearances so far and netted his first Lions goal from a free kick in Saturday's 3-0 win over Blackpool.

Fifth-placed Millwall have won four of their last seven matches and are now just six points off an automatic promotion place.

And Wallace, whose loan is due to expire on April 9, seems in no rush to return to Molineux.

He told South London Press: "I'm loving it – I don't want it to end, really. I don't want it to look like I'm a loan player. I want to be a part of the group.

"It's a good club. One that I would never rule out playing for in the future."

Wallace's free kick flew straight through a crumbling Blackpool wall.

He said of his first Millwall strike: "The goal has been a long time coming – I'm delighted.

"I missed a chance on Tuesday against Wigan but I had a lot of good efforts, too.

"I know what I'm capable of - if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will in today's game.

"It's a huge weight off of my shoulders. Hopefully I'll go on to get a couple more while I'm here.

"I didn't hit the free-kick very well. I'm not going to lie and pretend I tried to roll it under the wall, because I didn't.

"I hit it and thought 'hold on, that's gone through... it's bouncing... it's gone in!' The wall was like Bruce Almighty with the soup!"
