Wolves vault: Where is Jamie Reckord now?

The web world all-too-often affords us the chance of locating a long-forgotten player who once pulled on a Wolves shirt - so where is Jamie Reckord now?

The Wolverhampton-born defender looked like a decent prospect for his hometown club, as well as representing England at youth level.

But he only ended up making two first-team appearances for Wolves, both in the Capital One Cup and two years apart, against Northampton in 2011 and then versus Morecambe.

It was with Northampton where Reckord made his senior debut earlier in 2011, one of five loan stints he would undertake while with Wolves.

The left-back was also borrowed by Scunthorpe United, Coventry City, Plymouth Argyle and Swindon Town, with his performances for Scunthorpe earning him a new contract at his parent club.

That season's grace expired in the summer of 2014, where he was tossed into the footballing scrapheap when he was released by his boyhood team.

An uncertain future followed until another club finally came calling that October, but he had to move country to join up with Scottish Premier League side Ross County.

He joined on a short-term deal before signing an 18-month contract in January 2015, which expires when the season comes to a close.

The 23-year-old has made 43 appearances for the Staggies and, remembering the heartache of his departure, wants his future at Dingwall sorted out as soon as possible.

He said: "I need to play as many games as possible to earn a new contract. I don't want to be out of contract again.

"I was in that situation before I came to Ross County, and it's not a nice feeling. I've enjoyed every minute of it, so why not?

"Some of the loans spells earlier in my career worked out and some didn't. I feel coming up here has helped my career though. I've got my confidence back and I'm playing well.

"I felt I played well last season and I think I'm coming back into some form now so, hopefully, I can keep that up."
