Molineux offer could push crowd to 30,000
Wolves are offering family tickets for £40 for their home game against Middlesbrough a week on Saturday in a bid to help push the attendance up to 30,000.
Fans have launched a campaign to get 30,000 people into Molineux for the Boro game, and the club is doing their bit to help them along, offering a family of four tickets at the cut-price cost. With Boro predicting they will sell out all their seats in the Steve Bull Lower Stand, Wolves are on course to come close to the 30,000-mark.
In April 2014, there was a similar call to break the 30,000-barrier against Rotherham as Kenny Jackett's men marched to the League One title.
In total, 30,110 people packed into Molineux to watch a 10-goal thriller that finished 6-4 to the old gold and black.
That was the largest crowd at the stadium since March 1981 when Molineux hosted 40,524 for an FA Cup quarter-final replay against Middlesbrough, which Wolves won 3-1.
Wolves travel to Derby County on Sunday lunchtime and, as of yesterday, around 1,300 tickets had been sold for Sunday. Fans can also pay on the day.
