The 21-year-old will face his parent club when boss Kenny Jackett brings his Championship side to Greenhous Meadow for a friendly tomorrow.

And the striker still hopes to make his mark at Molineux, where his current contract runs out next summer.

He said: "Hopefully, I can get as many games as possible and get a lot of goals to get myself a new deal at Wolves. I want to prove myself in this league and then the one above.

"I feel it's a league I can compete in. I've scored goals when I've been playing regularly.

"I wasn't getting regular game time at the end of last season with Fleetwood, so it was a bit difficult to go into a team that was doing well.

"I think, with a consistent run of games, I'll score goals in this division and, hopefully, I can keep that up."

The Cannock-born forward believes his experience at playing at this level, along with the mixture of forwards around him, will help him make a seamless move back to life in Shropshire.

He added: "I feel I've had a lot of different experiences in this league.

"I played here a few times, then I went to Fleetwood last season, I've been in and out at Wolves and then in and out at Fleetwood.

"I've had plenty of ups and downs at this level so now I think I'm ready. There's a lot of quality here and a lot of competition for positions – we've got plenty of midfielders, four or five strikers.

"There are plenty of positions that aren't nailed-on but that's good, we'll see which side the boss picks.

"With Ty (Tyrone Barnett), Verny (Scott Vernon) and 'Collo' (James Collins) we've got plenty of big, powerful strikers.

"I can link and play off them. I think it will create lots of chances and, hopefully, I can take them.

"There's a lot of positivity around the place and everyone thinks we can push – hopefully we can do that."
