Kevin Foley joins Blackpool on emergency loan
Wolves full-back Kevin Foley today joined Blackpool on an emergency loan to January 3.
The 30-year-old, whose contract expires next summer, is needed by the Tangerines as Hull City yesterday recalled Brian Lenihan, who was the replacement for the suspended regular right-back Tony McMahon.
Foley, who will rejoin former Wolves team-mate Jamie O'Hara at Bloomfield Road, could play at Rotherham on Saturday.
The former Ireland international played five games for Blackpool on loan last February and March before dislocating his shoulder.
Head coach Kenny Jackett said: "It's a good move for Kevin, who has been to Blackpool previously on loan last season.
"Right-back is a strong area for us with Matt Doherty, Sam Ricketts and younger players like Dominic Iorfa pushing through.
"So Kevin's opportunities have been limited in his favoured position – we wish him all the best."
Foley's exit means Wolves' 'group three' is down to just one player – Roger Johnson – after the departures of O'Hara, Stephen Ward, Tongo Doumbia, Kevin Doyle and Georg Margreitter.
Bjorn Sigurdarson is due back from Molde and Razak Boukari is soon to be fit after a hamstring operation.
Foley has slipped down the pecking order at Molineux behind Matt Doherty, Sam Ricketts and Ethan Ebanks-Landell.
He has played 213 games for Wolves since signing from Luton in August 2007 but his last appearance was in October 2013 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Notts County.
