Wolves nick extra-time win in Birmingham Senior Cup

A young Wolves side emerged with a 2-1 extra-time victory at Halesowen Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Tom Tonks powered the Yeltz into a 14th-minute lead by planting his header into the top corner after a Jean-Michel Gueyes cross.

The Wolves Academy youngsters gradually found their feet and Eusebio Bancessi slammed a loose ball into the net but the 31st-minute effort was ruled out for offside.

Wolves equalised in the 59th minute when substitute Ibrahim Keita robbed Brendan Kelly on the edge of the area and advanced to slot past goalkeeper Evans.

And Wolves grabbed the winner in the 103rd minute when Sam Whittall turned home substitute Ashley Carter's cross.
