The £5m transfer-listed midfielder scored twice and set up Anthony Forde for the fourth goal.

O'Hara broke the deadlock in the fourth minute. He sprayed a crossfield ball to Jake Cassidy and continued his run into the box, sweeping home a left-footed shot into the bottom corner of the net when the cross came in.

Liam McAlinden saw a left-foot drive blocked after connecting first time with Kevin Foley's cross from the byeline on 17 minutes.

Wolves doubled their lead seconds later. Ethan Ebanks-Landell climbed highest to head home Zeli Ismail's driven corner at the far post from six yards out.

McAlinden screwed a left-foot drive wide from 25 yards. Reading threatened twice through Lawson D'Ath, but he curled wide from 30 yards and then drove into the chest of keeper Aaron McCarey.

Reading forced their first serious save five minutes before half-time when Gozie Ugwu played a one-two with Dominic Samuel only for McCarey to parry his fierce effort.

A third Wolves goal came four minutes after the interval when O'Hara lashed home first-time from Anthony Forde's rolled free-kick.

Wolves made it 4-0 on 86 minutes when Anthony Forde took O'Hara's pass in his stride before drilling low into the corner from 25 yards.
