Kenny Jackett boosted by Dave Edwards' Wolves return
Dave Edwards was today put on standby to rejoin Wolves' first team for derby week after recovering from injury.
The Wales international had initially been pencilled in for a return with the Under-21s tonight at Middlesbrough after recovering from a foot injury sustained in the opening day 0-0 draw at Preston North End.
But he will instead return to the senior ranks for tomorrow's derby at home to Walsall, and be in line for an emotional homecoming to the Greenhous Meadow at Shrewsbury on Saturday lunchtime.
Head coach Kenny Jackett said this afternoon: "Dave is in the squad for tomorrow and Saturday – that's the reason why he's not involved tonight.
"He's fit and fine. We're picking 20 players for these two games tomorrow and Saturday and we'll see how the squad pans out.
"We're confident he'll be OK – he's a senior player and he looks OK in training."
It's also been decided by management that Jamie O'Hara won't be involved against Middlesbrough's Under-21s because Wolves' youngsters need games.
But Jackett feels the 26-year-old will be back in action soon – at a new club.
"I don't think it will be long before he finds a new club, I'm surprised he hasn't found one up until now" he said.
