Wolves fan speaks on Jamie O'Hara eBay joke
The disgruntled Wolves fan who put Jamie O'Hara up for sale on eBay for less than a quid has spoken out for the first time.
Richard Perkins, a season ticket holder at Molineux for 18 years,
and even offered to drive the player to the winning bidder's house.
Richard, from Compton, said he masterminded the stunt after reading the Express & Star article which revealed that no-one wanted to sign the former Spurs man.
He had previously been left furious by O'Hara, husband of WAG Danielle Lloyd, when he gave a radio interview in the aftermath of the club's relegation insisting he was a Premier League player.
Richard cheekily offered to throw Roger Johnson into the sale if the bids topped £1.50. Ebay officials pulled the sale over the weekend which attracted a bid of £200,000 and more than 13,000 page views.
He said: "I heard his radio interview while I was driving down the road and it angered me that someone who has been part of a team that has been relegated twice wants to jump ship instead of rolling up his sleeves and getting the club back where it belongs.
"I saw the article in the Express & Star that said 'No-one wants to buy O'Hara' and I thought well there's always ebay."
"When I went to bed on Friday there was 18 views, on Saturday there was 1,000. By Saturday night it was 13,000 and when I looked I saw it was all over Facebook and Twitter."
O'Hara, Johnson, Karl Henry and Stephen Ward are all on the transfer list.
