Wolves were today watching events unfold at Celtic Park as Hull City bid £4.5million for Bhoys striker Gary Hooper.

The Tigers are desperate to bulk up their squad ahead of the Premier League campaign and have targeted the former Scunthorpe forward.

Celtic, however, value the 31-goal hitman at around £7m. But, if the Scottish champions do decide to sell, it could pave the way for Kevin Doyle's Molineux departure.

Wolves are open to a deal for the hitman and Celtic boss Neil Lennon is a known admirer, after he lodged interest in January over a possible loan deal.

The 29-year-old could be one of a number of Wolves departures this summer.
