Don Goodman blames Wolves players for position

Former Molineux favourite Don Goodman today blamed Wolves' players for the club's slide into the Championship relegation zone.

Goodman urged Dean Saunders' squad to look 'in the mirror' after they found themselves in the bottom three with 13 games to save themselves from a second successive relegation.

"The people who need to take a long hard look in the mirror are the players," said 46-year-old Goodman, who spent four seasons with Wolves in the 1990s, scoring 39 goals in 154 appearances.

"I know football is not played on paper but you look at them and there is no way they should be struggling down the bottom.

"So something is badly amiss within the walls of Molineux.

"There's huge problems. Wolves is one of those clubs that people have been looking at and saying: 'Nah, they're too good to go down'.

"But we've heard that said before. And they're in a right scrap now."
