Wolves have cancelled Zubar's contract by mutual consent and he is set to be announced as a signing for French club AC Ajaccio tomorrow.
The 27-year-old, whose deal was due to expire this summer, replaces long-serving Algeria international Carl Medjani, who has joined Monaco.
AC Ajaccio said in a statement: "It is now official that Ronald Zubar will join ACA tomorrow."
Zubar becomes the fourth departure this window, following fellow right-back Richard Stearman, Frank Nouble and loanee Jermaine Pennant.
The former France under-21 international cost Wolves £2m from Marseille in July 2009 and played 69 games.
His last appearance came with a Man of the Match performance in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Blackpool, after he had only regained his place back in the side under new boss Dean Saunders.
