Carl Ikeme today admitted Wolves need more forward thinking after Saturday's disappointing 1-1 draw against Derby.

The 26-year-old keeper was man of the match after making six saves against the superior Rams, while Wolves failed to force a stop from Ikeme's opposite number Frank Fielding.

Wolves were watched by Molineux's lowest crowd for a Saturday league game – 21,861 – since December 12, 2007, a 3-2 defeat to Burnley.

Around £29m has flooded into the Molineux coffers from the sales of Michael Kightly, Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis, plus Adlene Guedioura and Sam Vokes.

And Ikeme believes "a few forward-thinking players" are needed as the club looks to bring back the missing thousands following the loss of Kightly, Fletcher and Jarvis.

Ikeme said: "They're big losses – we saw how good Jarvis was against Barnsley and Fletcher is a goalscorer.

"I think we've got a lot of firepower so I'm not worried about that. But we maybe need a few forward-thinking players to help us and give us more options.

"I definitely think we need to strengthen the squad – everyone in the team wants that so we've got strength in depth."

Meanwhile, new £2m centre-back Georg Margreitter insisted he has a "good feeling" about moving to Wolves.

"We have a big goal, to get promoted as soon as possible, and I want to try to help with that," he added.
