George Elokobi back in Wolves reckoning

George Elokobi could play his part in a Wolves' promotion push back to the Premier League, according to boss Terry Connor.
The powerful left-back has rejoined the squad after a loan stint at Nottingham Forest, making a surprise entrance off the bench for Christophe Berra at centre-back in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Everton.
Elokobi played 12 games in the Championship, many of which were alongside fellow Molineux man Adlene Guedioura, and Connor feels he will be an asset to the team there next season.
He said: "George knows the Championship well – pretty much like the rest of the squad. George is one of those who's got the assets to bring to the Championship.
"It was great to have him back.
"He's been out on loan, played some football, come back and wanted to finish the season off as a Wolves player, so it was nice to have George back.
"He's an infectious character – he gets himself involved and is committed to everything."
Connor defended his decision to use Elokobi ahead of Roger Johnson as "great."
The manager said: "George can play centre-half and for me it was a great decision.
"Who came off? Who plays left-sided centre-back and is left-footed?
"George plays there. But I could have put Johnson on.
"It was my choice, George is left-footed and gave us the balance that I wanted and what we started with.
"He's been playing football regularly, which he couldn't get before.
"He finished Forest's season and he helped keep them in the division.
"He's come back for the final two games, so we will use him and he was happy with that."
Elokobi is one of 16 players out of contract in a year's time but Connor vowed all decisions will have to wait until the end of the season.
He said: "We don't know that yet – we will wait until the end of the season and see what happens.
Meanwhile, Adam Hammill is back and available to play in the final game at Wigan after his loan at Middlesbrough. But Guedioura and Sam Vokes can't play.
Connor said: "Some of the loan dates ran window to window."
