Carl Ikeme today signed a new contract at Wolves – as the goalkeeper joined Doncaster on loan.

The 25-year-old, whose current deal expired at the end of this season, has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal which keeps him at Molineux until 2015.

But Ikeme, who recently spent three months on loan at Middlesbrough, was on his way back to the Championship today after joining Rovers until January 4.

Ikeme heads off for his eighth loan spell of his career but insists his future is at Molineux.

He said: "I enjoyed playing at Middlesbrough and will try to do the same for Doncaster. Beyond that, I want to push for the place at Wolves and wouldn't have signed if I didn't."
