Wolves have taken Cork City striker Graham Cummins on trial as the Irishman bids to land a Molineux deal.

The 23-year-old played for Wolves in a behind-closed-doors game against Birmingham at Compton today, alongside two other un-named trialists from Ireland.

Cummins, who previously had a spell training at Sunderland when Roy Keane was manager, scored 24 league goals for the League of Ireland Division One champions last season.

Wolves continue to scout heavily in Ireland and boss Mick McCarthy has shown he's willing to take a chance on League of Ireland players, after signing Stephen Ward and Matt Doherty from Bohemians.
