Wolves winger Michael Kightly has joined Championship club Watford on an initial month's emergency loan.

Kightly arrived at Vicarage Road today to complete a deal that will run, initially, until November 19 and, if it's extended, Wolves will have a recall option.

The 25-year-old, who has endured an injury-ridden two years, was made available after making just three starts for Wolves this season and had already seen a move to Nottingham Forest collapse.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said: "Having spoken to Michael, he feels he needs to play maybe five or six games on the bounce which is something he hasn't been able to do in the last two years.

"We had a discussion and agreed that he should try and go out on loan, where there's a better chance of playing those games and helping him get towards the levels needed for the pace of the Premier League."
