Wolves' rookie striker Leigh Griffiths is today set to return to Scotland on loan at Hibernian.
The 21-year-old, who made his debut as a late substitute in Tuesday's 400 Carling Cup win at Northampton, underwent a medical at Easter Road today with a view to a loan move to January.
Should the deal be done in time, the £150,000 signing from Dundee in January could make his debut in the Edinburgh derby against Hearts tomorrow.
Griffiths would become the third striker to leave Wolves in a week after Stefan Maierhofer and Andy Keogh, while Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is out for a month, and the 15th departure this summer. Hibs boss Colin Calderwood said: "We're hoping to sign one more. And we hope that will be Leigh Griffiths.
"There's a bit of paperwork to be done and everything will need to go very well to get him here by the weekend."
"He's another goalscorer and I think that's what we need.
"Leigh had a big desire to come back to Scotland, and particularly here, so that's helped to push it through."
* Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme's loan at Middlesbrough has been extended for another month after it was due to expire this weekend.
