Steven Fletcher was today challenged to fill his boots after being told he can score 20 goals for Wolves this season.

Last season's 12-goal club leading marksman got off the mark with Wolves' first of the season in Saturday's opening 2-1 win over Blackburn.

Fletcher's 10 League strikes in 2010-11 came from just 15 starts and captain Roger Johnson believes the £7million club-record signing can at least double that tally if he stays fully fit this term.

Johnson said: "He got 12 goals last season and 10 from 15 Premier League starts, which is a great ratio. I don't see why if he plays all 38 games he can't get, say 23 goals.

"I like him a lot – he's awkward, he's good with his feet and not just good in the air, he can hold the ball up and bring people into play and he's a decent finisher, so there's not much he hasn't got really.

"He's also got a turn of pace, although over 100m he'd probably struggle against me!"

Fletcher's double-figure league haul was Wolves' best in the top flight since John Richards' 13 in 1980-81.

For all Steve Bull's net-bulging exploits, Wolves haven't boasted anyone with 20 in the top tier since Richards' 27 in 1972-73, which topped the country's charts.
