Captain Roger Johnson has insisted Wolves will sign at least one more player before the transfer window shuts.
The £4.5million signing is excited by the way Mick McCarthy's squad are shaping up for their third successive Premier League season, as they prepare to return to Molineux for the first time since Survival Sunday in tomorrow's final friendly against Real Zaragoza.
The skipper believes his new manager isn't finished in the market yet and will add to the three summer signings before the end of August.
Johnson said: "The manager has done well to keep the best players here and he's brought more in.
"I'm sure he will bring in another one or maybe two."
McCarthy is scouring the market for a central midfielder but has struggled to get the right man, while the trail for a left-back appears to have gone cold.
Wolves are unwilling to do business at anywhere near the £3million Birmingham want for Liam Ridgewell, while cheaper target Lee Wallace joined Rangers for £1.5million last month.
But Johnson, who replaced Karl Henry as captain this week, sees the bigger picture and predicts a brighter future for the club.
The centre-back said: "Off the pitch, the stands are going up and the club is moving in the right direction so I only see better times ahead.
"I'm supposedly peaking now – they say defenders peak from the age of 28 to 32 – so hopefully all four of those years will be in the Premier League.
"I definitely see Wolves progressing in that time."
