Adam Hammill has gave Wolves a boost by declaring himself fit for the next leg of the club's survival bid against Tottenham on Sunday.

The flying winger's participation in Saturday's 4-0 win against Blackpool lasted just 37 minutes when he came off with an ankle injury.

But the 23-year-old, who set up fellow wideman Matt Jarvis for the crucial opener against one of Hammill's former clubs, will be fit to face Spurs, which is set to become the second successive sell-out with only a few tickets remaining.

Hammill said: "I came in for treatment on Monday and was back in training on Tuesday and hopefully all is well and I'm ready for Sunday.

"I just got a kick on the ankle which hit a nerve in my leg so it was pretty painful and I was taken off as a precaution. There was no point me carrying on and making it worse.

"The main thing was making sure I was going to be fit for this weekend."

Hammill is now focusing on Wolves upsetting another of the Champions League qualifiers after their home wins against Manchester United and Chelsea.

And the wide man believes they can emulate Blackpool, who beat Harry Redknapp's side 3-1 in their last outing on February 22, since when he has taken his squad on a five-day warm weather training camp to Dubai.

Hammill said: "Tottenham is another level up but we can take heart from the fact that Blackpool beat them in their last home game.

"We know need to play well again, but if Blackpool can beat them at home then there's a chance for us to do the same.

"We're right back in there after taking four points from two games but we've got to keep going. I think it's going to go right to the wire but we're confident we can stay up.

"We have shown enough quality to give ourselves the belief in the Premier League."
