Wolves' evergreen defender Jody Craddock today tipped team-mates Karl Henry and Matt Jarvis to catch the eye of England coach Fabio Capello.

Both Henry and Jarvis have had storming starts to the season as Wolves were unbeaten in three out of their first four Premier League games before today's clash at Tottenham.

Winger Jarvis, 24, was in the frame for the England squad for the last two Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland, while 27-year-old ballwinner Henry was capped at several levels including Under-21s.

The pair have never played better and their quality flies in the face of the ill-conceived reputation Wolves have been labelled with in the national media after seven bookings in each of their last two games.

Craddock said: "Matt was in the provisional squad - I saw it in the paper and texted him to tell him.

"It proves how good he is and he's certainly highly-rated among the players at Wolves and he can become an even better player. Look how far he has come - the club gave him a five-year contract last week which shows the respect they have for Matt and that's why we want to hold on to him."

The veteran defender was equally praiseworthy of Henry.

"Karl is a fantastic player in front of me," he said. "He's a good passer and comfortable on the ball and he tracks back. He gives you everything you want in a midfielder.

"He's a fantastic player and fingers crossed he can get into the England squad. He's still only relatively young so why not?"

Craddock flatly rejected Wolves' unwarranted reputation, adding: "The thug 'tag' is a joke but it hasn't affected morale at all.

"The whole thing has been blown out of proportion, but that's what happens if you keep showing something on Match of the Day.

"I got a cut head against Newcastle but I didn't complain.

"A couple of weeks before, they couldn't stop showing David Jones' goal against Stoke but it just proves how things can be influenced."
