Satisfied Albion boss Carlos Corberan revealed he asked for "resilience and character" from his players ahead of tonight's victory at Coventry.
And the Baggies head coach felt his troops delivered both characteristics in spades for an impressive 2-0 win that lifted Albion up to fifth in the Championship.
Goals from Grady Diangana and Brandon Thomas-Asante inflicted a first home defeat to the season on Mark Robins' side, who despite their lowly position of 20th looked sharp and caused the visitors problems.
But Albion made it seven points from nine as they continue to dig deep and gain momentum in the absence of several key attackers. Key to that run is yet another clean sheet, the latest in a run of sixth shutouts in seven for Alex Palmer and Albion's impressive rearguard.
