It has been a tough season so far for Albion's Brandon Thomas-Asante.

The forward has found himself as the club's only fit striker - with Daryl Dike and Josh Maja both out with injuries.

His penalty in the win over QPR was just his third league goal of the season - and the former Salford City forward has come in for some criticism from sections of the supporters.

Lewis Cox & Jonny Drury have had a look at his performances this season and explain why Albion's only fit forward needs to be a cut a bit of slack:

Lewis Cox

I asked Carlos Corberan about BTA last weekend and whether he was suffering a bit of a confidence issue, given his lack of goals and Carlos said that wasn't the problem.

What we need to remember is that he is shouldering the burden of others in the goalscoring department by having one fit striker, and I think that has magnified him a bit more.

I think sometimes we as members of the media are maybe a bit guilty of that, maybe shining a light on his lack of goals - even with this discussion we are having now.
