Frustration needs to be turned into patience

For periods of the first half and parts of the second the mood in The Hawthorns, both and and off the pitch was one of frustration.

The fans were unhappy with what they were seeing as Albion struggled to break down a very deep QPR side.

The frustrations are understandable even if, like myself, you don't agree with the players being booed off at half time.

People pay their money and they are entitled to vent their opinions in that way, but I think it just requires a little bit of perspective and patience.

It always seemed like a game that if Albion get one the floodgates could open. They didn't quite open in that way, but after the first goal only one side was going to win the game.

At times it can be tough to take, but a bit more patience is required in these situations.

The case for mixing it up

We hear a lot in modern football about styles of play and philosophies and Carlos Corberan has his way of playing.

He wants Albion to get it down and play from the back, however, at times there is a need to mix it up.

And ironically when Albion did mix it up and play more direct it led to the spot kick and that opened up the game.
