Decisions on Cedric Kipre and Alex Mowatt paying off for West Brom

The form of both Alex Mowatt and Cedric Kipre underlines that going out on loan as a senior player doesn't necessarily mean that your time at the club is over.

Mowatt went out on loan to Boro last year because he wasn't near Steve Bruce's plans, and there may have been a financial reason behind it to free up money on the wage bill.

Kipre was another one who wasn't near the plans - but when Carlos Corberan came in, he will have looked at these two players and will have seen capable Championship players.

They have shown that during their time out on loan last season and Albion couldn't be blasé about their futures, they needed to utilise them.

Earlier this year we did speak on the podcast about Albion not being able to afford to stockpile players, and if Cardiff had come in for Kipre on a permanent or a club had come in for Mowatt, I am sure West Brom would have looked at the offers.
