West Brom lost 'real Albion people' when Guochuan Lai purchased the club says Tony Pulis
West Brom lost a 'togetherness' and a group of 'real Albion people' when Guochuan Lai took over the club in 2016, according to former boss Tony Pulis.
This summer marked seven years since Lai purchased the club from Jeremy Peace for a reported fee of between £175m and £200m.
Despite a successful first campaign under Lai's ownership, Albion suffered relegation the following season.
They returned to the top flight in 2020 before another relegation - and off field issues coupled with a failure to again win promotion to the Premier League has seen fans turn on the owner.
