Who should be West Brom's new captain?

Those labels haven't been thrown at them since the arrival of Carlos Corberan, who, despite a tough run of results at the turn of the year has largely turned around the club's on field fortunes.

Now, with the season fast approaching, it is time for a new leader to step up at The Hawthorns.

In the wake of Dara O'Shea's departure to Burnley, a captain shaped hole has been left in the Baggies squad.

Corberan is yet to announce who his new skipper will be, however, there are a handful of contenders who could stake a claim for the armband.

Alex Palmer

The keeper, who has thrust into first team action last season is probably an outside bet.

After a string of loan spells he was handed the chance to show just what he can do last season, and he impressed with a list of impressive displays.

However, is he captain material?
