Chinese owners prepared to sell West Brom for 'around' £60m
Albion’s Chinese owners have begun actively seeking investment and are prepared to sell the club for around £60million.
The Baggies are on the market with controversial controlling shareholder, Guochuan Lai, prepared to cut his losses after seven years at the helm.
Talks have already been held with a group which includes Egyptian businessman Mohamed Elkashashy and Manchester-based sports lawyer Chris Farnell over the purchase of a minority stake, though several other parties are thought to be interested.
It is understood Albion’s owners now value the club at around £60m, a figure which would include paying off the current debts.
