Investment in West Brom 'some way off' as talks set to continue
Investment in West Brom from a group headed by Egyptian businessman Mohamed Elkashashy and sports lawyer Chris Farnell is 'some way off'.
Last week it was reported the pair, who have previously been involved in failed bids to buy both Charlton and Burnley, were in advanced talks over potentially investing in Albion.
However, sources close to the duo have insisted any agreement to buy a stake in Albion remains some way off, though talks are expected to continue this week.
It is understood Elkashashy and Farnell first registered their interest at around the same time they were in talks to buy Burnley in late 2020. Negotiations then restarted in recent weeks.
