The Croatian midfielder became the 15th player to get on the scoresheet this season for the table-topping Baggies when he struck early on at Barnsley on Boxing Day.

Slaven Bilic's side were pegged back late on to draw 1-1, but they host Middlesbrough tomorrow, and Krovinovic said: "The feeling was amazing.

"It's very nice to be in a team that has had 15 players score a goal, so I hope it will continue like that and the 16th and 17th players will come.

"It means we are working good, very hard, so I hope that it will continue like that.

"The only thing is that when you concede a goal in the 90th minute, it's very sad.

"But no problem, the next game is coming up, and we're preparing for that.

"I think we played nice football and deserved to win, but it was a draw, so we focus on the next game.

"We'll take care of ourselves and prepare for the game on Sunday."

Krovinovic pounced on a mistake from Barnsley's Sami Radlinger to open his Albion account, picking his spot from long range after a poor clearance from the keeper.

The 24-year-old playmaker, though, insists his first thought was who to pass the ball to.

"No. Honestly, at first, I was thinking whether to pass," said Krovinovic.

"But then I thought I will try and, fortunately, it was a very nice goal. I'm very happy because of that."

Krovinovic was identified as a target by compatriot Bilic as soon as he became Baggies chief.

He was then signed on loan from Benfica for the season, and he says he is loving life at The Hawthorns, having made 20 appearances in the Championship – 10 starts, 10 as a substitute.

"I like it very, very much. I like the city, so I'm enjoying it – a lot," said Krovinovic.

"I like the people, the club, the training ground, the fans – they're amazing and support us every game, home and away."

He added: "I want to thank them for the support they gave us (at Barnsley), and I hope they will come in big numbers at home (against Middlesbrough), like always, as we will give everything for them."
