The two players both missed the recent clashes with Middlesbrough and Barnsley though injury – with Phillips picking up a shin problem while Zohore had a calf strain.

But Kieran Gibbs will miss the game against the Addicks with the full-back still struggling after breaking his toe.

Albion played Barnsley on Tuesday night, but bar a few cuts and bruises, head coach Slaven Bilic confirmed everyone came through that game okay.

"So far so good," the boss said.

"They were tired yesterday (Thursday) and that wasn’t even 48 hours until after the match.

"Today (Friday) we have a session then we’ll do a little bit to refresh them and make sure individually and as a team, they’re in the right shape for tomorrow.

"No reported injuries. We have cuts and a few stitches that are very sore, but we’ll see today.

"Matt Phillips and Kenneth Zohore they trained yesterday so I’m expecting them to train today and be in the contest for the squad tomorrow."

Bilic believes Gibbs will be back playing in around a fortnight.

"Is it a week or is it ten days," he continued.

"He can run and do something but he feels sore when out his boots on.

"His little toe is painful so he’s not days to come back but he’s not weeks in the plural or big way. Until he’s back playing I think two weeks, hopefully."

Charlton, came up via the League One play-offs last season but have adapted well to life in the Championship with Lee Bowyer's side currently sitting 12th in the division.

And Bilic believes there are a number of factors why they are performing so well.

"They’re positive and have had a good start," he added.

"They have some players who have played together a long time and they clicked with the loans and all that.

"It’s very common for young promoted teams, if it starts well for them they’re enjoying it.

"It’s like a dream for them. They’re extra motivated in every game they’ve got to prove in the first 10 or 12 games they can do it.

"They run a lot, they are up for it. They had a good team.

"They had a positive experience because last year they were promoted which means they won the majority of their games which means they’re even more confident and that makes you better, individually and as a team.

"They had a few really good players, a couple of our players (Jonathan Leko and Sam Field), the guy from Chelsea (Conor Gallagher). They are young, fresh and run a lot, They are very positive."
