The Express & Star understands West Brom and the FA have yet to ratify the move and that Albion are understandably frustrated at the loss of one of their brightest talents for a relative pittance, due to Fifa's flat rate for payments to clubs made from overseas for young players.

The England wonderkid was offered a three-year contract at the Baggies, but turned down the deal in favour of a move elsewhere.

Barcelona were joined in their interest in the 16-year-old by PSG and RB Leipzig, but confirmed his signing following his departure from The Hawthorns.

The move means that Albion will receive just £235,000 in compensation.

Had he of signed for club in England, West Brom would've been able to take the matter to a tribunal and negotiate a higher fee.

Barry first rose to prominence last year when he scored 10 goals in five games for England Under-15s at a tournament in Italy.

He also won the golden boot in November at the Val-de-Marne tournament which England Under-16s won.

PSG reportedly offered him a five-year deal, he has instead opted for Barcelona on a three-year contract.

He joins Morgan Rogers in leaving the club, with Manchester City agreeing a fee with the Baggies for the England under-17 attacker - with his move expected to be sealed this week.

The Baggies are set for a multi-million pound fee for Rogers.
