FA Youth Cup captain signs first professional contract at West Brom
The captain of Albion's history-making FA Youth Cup side has signed his first professional contract for the Baggies.
George Harmon, the 18-year-old left-back who skippered the side to the semi-finals of the prestigious competition last season, has penned a two-year deal.
It was a proud moment for the lifelong Albion fan, who lives in West Bromwich and has a season ticket in the Smethwick End.
Harmon is the just the first of that talented crop to sign a professional deal, with others expected to be confirmed this summer.
The Baggies have offered 16-year-old striker Louie Barry the equivalent of a three-year deal to try and ward off Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
It's also hoped England youth international Morgan Rogers will sign a professional deal when he turns 17 later this month.
Albion reached the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup last season for the first time in 41 years.
