The 23-year-old is expected to fly to England this week to complete his move from the Portuguese club.

According to reports in Portugal, the Baggies have agreed to pay Benfica £300,000 for his services next season.

However, the club will have to stump up more if Krovinovic helps them win promotion to the Premier League.

The versatile midfielder has spent the past two seasons at Benfica but struggled to get back into their team after injury and is searching for regular football.

It's hoped he will have signed in time to join Albion on their pre-season trip to Spain next week.

It was initially suggested he could meet the squad there, but he is now likely to fly to England this week ahead of that trip to tie up his loan move.

Meanwhile, it's looking increasingly like Rekeem Harper could stay at Albion after speaking to Slaven Bilic last week.

The 19-year-old is now a free agent, but he trained with the Baggies today and could now agree to the four-year contract offer on the table.
