The Baggies host Ipswich, Swansea, Birmingham City, Preston, Hull and Rotherham before the season ends.

Home form has been mixed recently, with Moore’s men picking up just one win in their last eight league games at The Hawthorns.

Twelve teams in the division have a better home record, but now they host two teams in the bottom half in the space of five days, starting with rock-bottom Ipswich.

And Moore wants his team to finish the season at The Hawthorns strongly.

“We want to try and make The Hawthorns a fortress because it’s our home stadium, we’re in front of our home fans,” he said. “There’s still a lot of work and we’ll continue to work towards every kick of the season.”

Despite slipping seven points behind the top two, Moore believes it’s still possible to mount a surge.

“Everybody’s competing, but it won’t just be us,” he said. “There’s so many teams in the division, probably ones that you’ve not even considered or talking about, that are preparing themselves to try and get a run of games together.”

None of Albion’s visitors to The Hawthorns are currently higher than eighth, and two of them are in the bottom three.

But with plenty of mid-table teams still eyeing up a possible dart at the play-offs, Moore reckons every team has something to play for.

“It’s safe to say that we’ll see all teams competing right the way through to the last kick of the season,” he added.
