West Brom goals will flow again says Darren Moore

Darren Moore says he has no concerns about Albion’s ability to score goals – with the head coach pleased with the amount of chances his side are creating.

The Baggies remain the top scorers in the Championship having netted a whopping 33 goals in their opening 15 league games.

But they are currently on a three-game winless run, with the goals having dried up slightly during that spell.

Moore’s side were unable to break through a resolute Wigan earlier this month – with the Baggies falling to a 1-0 loss at the DW Stadium.

And they have only found the target once in each of their last two outings with a 4-1 defeat to Derby followed by a 1-1 draw with Blackburn.

Moore, though, is pleased with the amount of chances his side is creating.

And he says they will soon start finding the target more often – so long as they stick to their attacking principles.

“In every game we’ve created chances,” the boss said.

“We created chances against Blackburn and against Derby.

“With the type of quality of players we’ve got, the biggest thing is creating the chances.

“What would worry me is if we didn’t create chances. Whether it’s down to the rub of the green or the final touch we’ve not put the ball in the back of the net at times.

“Obviously we’ve been free-scoring in the past so we expect an avalanche of goals, but as we know in football, that’s not always the case.”

Asked whether there is too much expectation on Albion’s players to score goals following their impressive start to the campaign, Moore said: “No I don’t think there is.

“We just want to win matches, if we win by one goal, we’ll take that. That’s not a problem.”
