Didn’t have a single save to make but wasn’t too much he could have done about Tammy Abraham’s header. Did well to rush out quickly when Gibbs sold him a short backpass. 6/10

Allan Nyom

Far too guilty of turning backwards and passing the ball to his centre-backs. Needed to offer more of an attacking threat. 5/10

Craig Dawson

Was rarely troubled by Swansea’s limp attack, and let Brunt do most of the spraying. Had a 91 per cent pass success rate. 6/10

Ahmed Hegazi

Drove forward into the spaces Swansea left open, but then gave the ball sideways more often than not. Solid defensively and won a match-high five headers. 6/10

Kieran Gibbs

Foraged forward more often than Nyom, but was caught out position at times. 6/10

Matt Phillips

Drifted in off the wing too much and looked far more dangerous when he had chalk on his boots. Crossed the ball for Rodriguez’s goal but was dispossessed a match-high five times. 5/10

Chris Brunt

With no Evans or Krychowiak in the team, Brunt was allowed to drop back into the quarterback role and dictate play. And he was having a good game right up until the 75th minute, when he inexplicably dallied on the ball and gave away a needless corner that Swansea scored from. 6/10

Jake Livermore

A functional performance from the midfielder, closing down Swansea players while Brunt dropped in behind him. Had the best pass success rate (93 per cent) of the match. 6/10

James McClean

Quiet in the first half but woke up in the second with a couple of blocked shots. Lost his cool (again) near the end. 5/10

Jay Rodriguez - Albion man of the match

Stung Fabianski's hands with an effort on the stroke of half-time before he swept home Albion’s goal after the break to reach double figures for the season. It was nothing more than his all-round hard-working performance deserved. Whether he was flitting around on the wing or just behind Rondon, his quick feet caused Swansea problems, and he always looks the most likely to score. 7/10

Salomon Rondon

Flicked on the ball for the goal and showed flashes of brilliance, like his nutmeg on Mawson. 6/10
