The 39-year-old, who spent six seasons at The Hawthorns, is currently a player-coach at Birmingham City.

He's planning to hang up his boots once this campaign is finished, but is hoping to continue coaching.

"I have loved wearing every shirt with pride, I have played my heart out every time and I’ve achieved from a young age my dream," he tweeted.

"At the end of the season it will be goodbye to playing but the start of a new exciting chapter."

Robinson made more than 700 appearances during a 22-year career that included spells at Watford, Albion, Bolton, Leeds and Blues.

He has appeared three times for the senior team this season and currently works with Birmingham's under-23s.
