West Brom signing Daniel Sturridge backed to make England squad
Following the news of his loan deal with West Brom, Daniel Sturridge has been backed to make England's World Cup squad at the bookmakers.
The striker joined Albion this week on-loan from Liverpool, and following that deal, punters have been quick to back his case, as he shortened to just 5/1 to make the squad for the Russia-based tournament.
The 28-year-old has made 26 appearances for England throughout his career, scoring eight times at senior level.
As well as their new striker, West Brom have also seen odds drop on Jay Rodriguez to make the trip to Russia, with his price now sitting at 12/1 - the same price as Burnley defender Ben Mee.
Sturridge could feature against Manchester City tomorrow, and is also available for West Brom's continued FA Cup run, which resumes against Southampton in February.
