West Brom set to sell Tyler Roberts to Leeds United for £2.5m rising to a possible £4m

The Baggies have agreed to let the 19-year-old forward leave because he only has six months left on his contract and refused to sign another one.

The deal, which is expected to be announced tomorrow morning, includes performance-based add-ons and a sell-on clause.

It's believed Roberts is having a medical with Leeds tonight.

Roberts spent the first half of the season on loan at League One Walsall, where he was a resounding success.

Several clubs have expressed an interest in him over the past six months, but Pardew brought him back in for training in January.

The new boss liked what he saw, and Albion offered him a new contract, but Roberts has not signed it.

So the Baggies decided to cash in on their asset before he left in the summer on a free transfer.

Rangers and Marseille were also interested in the youngster, and if he'd joined an overseas club, Albion would have only received a set compensation fee of £300,000.

However, Albion look set to keep skipper Evans after receiving no bids from Arsenal.

"I think Jonny will stay at this football club," said boss Alan Pardew today.

The Roberts is likely be the last piece of business Albion do this window.
