West Brom handed Saturday night FA Cup date after Liverpool trip chosen for TV coverage
Albion’s FA Cup fourth round trip to Liverpool will take place on a Saturday night after being selected for live TV coverage.
The fourth round tie at Anfield has been rescheduled for 7.45pm on Saturday January 27 and will be broadcast on BT Sport 2.
It is one of six games to be chosen for TV coverage across the weekend.
Albion are expected to confirm ticket details for the game in due course. The club could request an allocation as large as 8,300 for the tie, though it remains to be seen whether they will now do so, particularly considering the new kick-off time.
It is the first time the clubs have met in the competition since 1968, the last year Albion won the trophy.
