Former West Brom academy striker Chris Wood joins Burnley for £15m
Former Albion academy striker Chris Wood has joined Burnley from Leeds in a club-record deal worth £15million rising to £18m with add-ons.
The 25-year-old, who scored 30 goals for Leeds in the Championship last season, is looking forward to returning to the Premier League.
"I've had tastes of being in there but I've never had the chance to give it a proper bash,"he said.
Wood joined Albion from New Zealand aged 15 and made 27 appearances for the Baggies before he was sold to Leicester aged 21.
He is eligible to make his debut for Burnley in the Lancashire derby against Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night in the second round Carabao Cup.
Leeds signed Wood from Leicester in the summer of 2015 for a fee believed to be £3m.
