West Brom captain Jonny Evans hasn't travelled to Burnley with team
West Brom's in-demand captain Jonny Evans has not travelled to Burnley with the rest of the squad for today's match.
The Baggies skipper, who was a doubt with a hamstring problem, has stayed at the training ground alongside injured pair Gareth McAuley and James Morrison to do rehabilitation work.
Claudio Yacob is also missing today's match after reporting a tight hamstring on Friday morning.
The Argentinian has been replaced by debutant Gareth Barry in the only change to Albion's line-up following last weekend's 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
Evans missed that game too with a hamstring problem that he reported a day after Manchester City made an £18m bid for him that would have risen to £21m with add-ons.
And after that 1-0 win over Bournemouth, head coach Tony Pulis admitted he had to take his skipper's word over the knock.
Yesterday, Pulis said he didn't believe Evans was the sort of character to down tools in order to force a move.
However, his absence from today's game adds to the speculation that his exit is near.
Pep Guardiola's team are expected to return with a larger offer totalling £25m for Evans while the Baggies hold out for a figure nearer £30m.
Nacer Chadli, who could leave the Baggies this summer if Swansea City firm up their interest with an offer of £25m, has travelled to Turf Moor.
