Albion's Ben Foster completes bike challenge in support of Wolves' Carl Ikeme
Albion star Ben Foster took on a 100-mile bike ride in support of fellow goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, following his leukaemia diagnosis.
Foster got into the saddle for Ride London on Sunday to raise money for Care Leukaemia.
The Baggies shot stopper has long been a supporter of the charity and the shocking revelation that Wolves counterpart Ikeme was battling the illness gave him extra motivation.
The goalkeeping union has rallied around to offer support to Ikeme since the news was revealed this month.
Foster, 34, said: "The fact that Carl has been diagnosed with leukaemia shows once again that cancer is not discriminatory.
“You could be the strongest, fittest person in the world; you could be a professional athlete. It can get anyone at any time."
Foster completed the route, which heads through central London, out to Surrey before returning to the capital to finish on The Mall, in a time of five hours and one minute.
Following the challenge, the Albion keeper said on Twitter: "Had a great time today, don't think (Chris) Froome will be too worried."
