Burnley in line to sign former West Brom target Charlie Taylor
Burnley have emerged as favourites to sign left-back Charlie Taylor after Albion pulled the plug on their deal last week.
The Baggies couldn't agree a compensation fee with Leeds United and decided to redirect energy and funds to the spine of the team instead.
The Clarets are now believed to be in talks with Leeds over a compensation fee because they too, want to avoid the uncertainty of a tribunal.
Taylor is out of contract this summer but is under 24, meaning any club who signs him on a free transfer will have to pay Leeds compensation.
Meanwhile, Stoke City have made a £12million bid for Albion target Ben Gibson, although it's believed Middlesbrough want more than £20m for the centre-back.
