West Brom take up options on young trio

West Brom are taking up the one-year options on their most senior trio of academy graduates.

Striker Adil Nabi, midfielder Liam O'Neil and defender Donervorn Daniels will begin a fresh bid to break into the first team, when the players return for pre-season training next month.

Albion have also revealed their plans for more of the club's young players.

Alex Palmer has been offered a two year professional contract, while Kyle Howkins has earned a one year deal.

Callum Jones comes into the same category, after missing much of last season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Professional contracts have also been offered United States youth international Danny Barbir, goalkeeper Ethan Ross, midfielder Zak Elbouzedi, left back Robbie McCourt and centre back Shaun Donnellan.

Striker Alex Jones, who has already earned himself a two-year deal with neighbours Birmingham City, left-back Bradley Garmston, centre midfielder Mani O'Sullivan and right-back Wesley Atkinson have been released.
