Boaz Myhill's West Bromwich Albion future up in the air despite heroic display
Old Trafford hero Boaz Myhill admits his Albion future is uncertain despite his man-of-the-match display helping the Baggies beat Manchester United.
Myhill says he has yet to speak to the club about extending his stay at The Hawthorns when his contract runs out in the summer.
Myhill's deal contains an option allowing the Baggies to keep him for another season but the former Wales international has not yet received any indication of the club's plans.
"I am out of contract with an option," said Myhill, who has been deputising for injured number one Ben Foster. "I have heard nothing from the club yet, so we will see what happens.
"I am just concentrating on playing. I am really enjoying the platform of playing in this team in this league. I am just taking it game by game, hoping to do my best.
"There comes a time where clubs have different agendas and stuff so I don't know what's happening. I will wait and see until the club put something in front of me and we will take it from there.
"I don't think I have done myself any harm for five years. The ball is in the club's court."
Myhill made a string of crucial saves in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Saturday that took the Baggies to 40 points in the Premier League.
And he praised new goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould for his role in the second-half penalty stop from Robin van Persie.
"Jonathan, before the game, drew me up a list and said that different United players go different ways in the main with penalties," he said.
"I made up my mind that if Van Persie took a penalty I would go that way.
"We do that with different things – corners, free-kicks, penalties.
"He is very thorough. You don't just turn up and put your gloves up and go out.
"We are a well-prepared club and it has paid off. I can't take any credit for that. I have made the save but a lot of other people have helped me."
