James Morrison: West Brom want revenge
Midfielder James Morrison reckons West Brom are desperate to heal their derby pain by reaching Wembley after being "hurt" by Villa's midweek celebrations.
Morrison says the Baggies were stung by Villa's reaction to Christian Benteke's stoppage-time winner in Tuesday's 2-1 Premier League triumph.
And the Scotland international is anxious to put things right by winning tomorrow's FA Cup quarter-final at Villa Park in his 250th Albion appearance.
He said: "There is definitely extra motivation from seeing them celebrating like they had won a cup at the end of the game, because they were struggling and it meant that much to them.
"The manner of the defeat with the last kick of the game made it worse. But that was the end of it and we're a team and we can put it right by winning on Saturday.
"Luckily we've got this game coming up and we have a chance to put it right. There will be spice to it because of how it all ended on Tuesday.
"I thought 1-1 would have been a fair result. Maybe they shaded it but I don't think they could have argued if it had ended in a draw.
"It just hurt that it was the last kick of the game. It really hurts and I think all the lads are feeling that way and wanting to put it right."
Albion head back to Villa Park just five days on from their league heartbreak with Morrison ready to avenge that defeat.
And the 28-year-old is keen to avoid a repeat of the shell-shocked dressing-room scene on Tuesday, after Ben Foster's late error gifted Villa the win.
He said: "It was very quiet. There was a lot of devastation. The first half wasn't good enough and we weren't up to the standards we've set in recent months.
"I thought we were back in the game in the second half and I had an opportunity myself that maybe I should have done a bit better with.
"We had a mad moment with Ben but Ben has been solid for us all the time and hopefully we can put it right for him and the fans on Saturday."
